Evaluation of Cardiopulmonary Stress of the China Clay Mine Workers

Historically, mining has been viewed as an inherently high-risk industry. Previous research findings as well as the changing demography in the mining industry have highlighted the need for a comprehensive study programme to be implemented in the mining industry. The issues of anthropometry, workstation design, functional work capacity, worker fatigue, shift cycles, chronic occupational and other diseases, and nutrition have emerged as some of the important factors affecting the health and safety of miners.
